Rift Valley Photographic Lodge is located in the world-renowned Rift Valley and is surrounded by the most sought-after photographic safari destinations. The lodge is set high, on a bush-cloaked ridge, with magnificent views over Lake Manyara.

Rift Valley Lodge provides visitors with an ideal base to explore the Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Natron, and Engaruka Ruins for the most extraordinary holiday where everything that is Africa, converges in a beautiful display. Rift Valley Lodge stands center-stage to one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife arenas, providing visitors with ringside seats for the greatest wildlife show on earth.

Rift Valley Lodge is designed according to the circular motif of a traditional Masai village offering international sophistication with raw African beauty. The main lodge is built around an ancient Baobab tree in true Masai village style, with each public area designed as an individual unit with spectacular views over Lake Manyara. Relax in the lounge, enjoy fine dining in the restaurant or have sun downers at the bar, adjacent to the deck surrounding the baobab and overlooking the pool area.

Leading from the lodge by walkways, the lodge features individual private chalets, each with uninterrupted views, private verandas and on suite facilities. Furnished in rich leather, the units captivate the “African Bush atmosphere.

The idea behind ‘Rift Valley Lodge’ providing medium high accommodations in the National Parks and Conservation Areas of Tanzania was to stay simple and provide everything one would need to feel comfortable and safe in the African bush, cared for by nice and dedicated people with excellent food to soothe the bruises of a long day’s Safari with a good meal and good night’s sleep in the wilderness.

From our original 3 Staff in the office in Arusha and Lodge in Lake Manyara, we have grown to a total of 20 full-time employees and 3 camps in 2015, a fourth ‘Rift Valley Lodge’ is planned to open in Lake Manyara National Park in July 2016.

We now offer Game Packages, Fly-in Fly-out Safaris in collaboration with ‘Coastal Aviation’ as well as classic photographic Safaris throughout Tanzania’s National Parks and Reserves.
